After witnessing his father, a Naval Captain, get hit by a car and killed, Ryan (Spencer Treat Clark) blames himself and climbs to the edge of the building, threatening to jump. Palmer (Brian Dietzen) joins him on the ledge to try and talk the boy down, but it's not going well. The two men get into a physical struggle high atop the building, both coming dangerously close to falling. Just when things seem to have calmed down, Ryan does something that causes Palmer to nearly fall to his own death.
