With these strict requirements in mind, we started the development of the CVP range. This stands for Compact Versatile Pump and we are delighted to present them to you now.  The compactness of this pump affects several key areas: the pumps are lighter; consume less space making the installation easier; and reduce the mechanical losses while still delivering outstanding performance up to 125cc/rev at 250bar Hyva ALPHA standards.    
We are offering today the CVP range that contains even the pump of 125cc / rev with the working pressure of 250bar with the weight of just under 18kg, making it the lightest solution available on the market today.  
The overall CVP range consists of 2 types:
Heavy Duty  – these are the pumps with the displacements of 95, 115 and 125cc / rev. They have 4 connection ports and reinforced housing to cope with the working pressure of 250 bar and still with the weight below 18kg as mentioned earlier, setting the new market standards. 4 connection ports give more flexibility during installation, especially on HD trucks where sophisticated drivetrains consume space more than before.
Standard – These are the pumps with the displacements of 85 and 105cc/rev. They come as standard with the rear ports only. They are also suitable for 250bar working pressure.
Within this group there are also smaller versions currently in development, these will have 35, 50 and 65 cc / rev displacements.
For many years all Hyva standard pumps have been delivered with the well proven leakage indication system. This will still be the case for the CVP pumps.
This system allows the operator to observe and react in case of any leakage coming from wear or damage of pump or PTO seals, it can also largely reduce the risk of oil transfer from the gearbox into the pump or vice versa. In both cases such oil transfer can lead to expensive damage of the gearbox.
This is especially important because the most modern gearboxes are very sensitive to oil level and its quality, any loss or excess of oil may again lead to expensive failures.
Efficiency of this system has been verified throughout its many years of usage. It’s presence on hydraulic pumps is also a more and more common requirement of truck and gearbox OEMs. The CVP pump range continues the compliance of Hyva with these regulations.
Compared to the regular pumps, the new range is much more compact to keep the centre of the gravity as close to the PTO as possible to reduce the bending torque on the PTO. To keep the weight low at 250bar working pressure the housing has to be made of very robust casting, the shape is also highly optimized to handle 4 connection ports and this higher working pressure.
With the new CVP family we are proudly offering the most sophisticated gear pump solution compliant with the most critical OEM requirements, we believe that this new standard will secure a safe and problem free hydraulic system at the highest performance level without any expensive gearbox damages.
