End of All was made for a contest many years ago, but due to a lack of time and not wanting to contribute effort to it, it was scrapped. My eventing was still a bit scuffed back then so please excuse the hiccups here and there.
Essentially, Rena is a "Get out of Jail" free card, with her having superior stats and a weapon that can nos-tank most enemies. However, relying on her will eventually make her stats fall, causing her to be weaker the less uses her weapon has.
Later on, if Rena was less than 10 uses remaining, the world would shift into a red, hue, fires would happen and her portrait would change to be much more draught and husk-like.
Lorelai, Ana and Jerome all have niches meant to support Rena. Jerome is fast and hard hitting, Lorelai has AOE magic that can kill anything on a 2x4 scale, and Ana has a unbreakable Latona. However, their weapons were all able to break, making you having to choose between making Rena able to fight or risk breaking weapons in a game where you're unable to trade or shop.
