Solo Walks New Zealand in 4K: Sealy Tarns Track, Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park

Описание: In this video we are at the spectacular Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park which features the highest peaks and largest glaciers within New Zealand. This walk is on the first part of the Mueller Hut track. The Sealy tarns are slightly less than half way up the steep mountainside to the hut at the top. This walk this day was, for me, a “failed” walk as I was intending on going all the way to the top to Mueller Hut. I walked this in half a day back in 2012 but it seems I had lost more of my fitness since then than I realized and could only just make it to the Sealy Tarns viewpoint. This was filmed in April of this year (2022), just two months before my unexpected heart attack, so its possible my inability to have enough cardio to get farther up was foreshadowing of the upcoming health failure? And, before anyone asks, yes, I am doing better, the heart failure was not due to any detectable physical issues as the hospital could not find a direct cause. I am attributing it to letting too much stress getting me down. I need to get out more, away from mindless work, and walk in the wilderness to rid of these pointless societal stresses. Shouldn't we all?

I am making these videos to do something creative and help in getting me back out hiking again. Also with sharing these to the world, it’s for the enjoyment of other people who are unable to visit or physically do these walks themselves and for those who just want to see a different part of the world in a quiet and relaxing manner.
