We produced a series of videos for the "Rocket" project, this one is about "Tribo Surf".
“Tribo Surf” – as light as plastic, wear-resistant as ceramic.
Cable manufacturing machines process many kilometres of extremely thin abrasive wire strands, often at high temperatures. As a result, the rollers that guide the wire strands must be light, thermally stable and wear-resistant. The ROCKET innovation project “Tribo Surf” is developing a nanotechnology-based surface coating with excellent dry-running properties for plastics and steels.
