Allen Wu was born in Bremen and began playing the piano at the age of five. He achieved early success at competitions such as “Jugend musiziert” and later studied in the ISMA pre-college program at the Lübeck University of Music before beginning his studies in Würzburg.
The International Vienna Piano Competition “Wiener Klassik” takes place every July in the world’s capital of music – Vienna.After an online preliminary round, 65 pianists from all over the world are invited to perform at Vienna’s second-oldest concert hall, the Ehrbarsaal.
The winners of each category perform at the Musikverein Wien.In 2025, prizes totaling €15,000 were awarded, including cash prizes, concert engagements in Vienna, and a professional CD recording.
