Albert Lai was born in New York and currently studies piano in the San Francisco Bay Area with Dr. Yu-Chi Tai. In addition to piano, he also studies the violin. Albert is a prizewinner of several national piano competitions in the United States and regularly performs in concerts and masterclasses. His playing is marked by expressive depth, technical finesse, and confident stage presence.
The International Vienna Piano Competition “Wiener Klassik” takes place every July in the world’s capital of music – Vienna.After an online preliminary round, 65 pianists from all over the world are invited to perform at Vienna’s second-oldest concert hall, the Ehrbarsaal.
The winners of each category perform at the Musikverein Wien.In 2025, prizes totaling €15,000 were awarded, including cash prizes, concert engagements in Vienna, and a professional CD recording.
