Paint a Hakea leaf in watercolour using masking fluid

Описание: Masking fluid can be tricky and many people avoid it. There are some instances where it can really help, such as this Hakea leaf. By blocking out all those veins, I can use my watercolour washes and build up some lovely layers and intensity without having to avoid the veins. This is only one method of painting this type of leaf, but I hope it helps you understand where masking fluid can be handy, and you may have some other uses for it in the future.
