Visiting the mud volcanoes in Romania was so cool!
This area of Romania has natural mud volcanoes, which are basically these large mud puddles that bubble! We were very lucky and went on a day which was pretty empty (in June) and wasn't rainy.
There are several areas in the surrounding area that you can see mud volcanoes; although we strongly suggest the main area, Vulcanii Noroioși Pâclele Mari, since the other areas were harder to access (small steep dirt roads) and didn't have nearly as many volcanoes to look at.
