Santo Domingo is a spectacular city and I was lucky enough to stay in the Colonial neighbourhood over the holidays. I was so charmed by this area of beautiful colonial architecture, great restaurants, historic buildings and of course gorgeous warm weather. I enjoyed wandering the streets with no particular aim and imagining life from many hundreds of years ago.
