Ingredients:
2 tbsp butter or ghee
2 ripe bananas
4-6 slices of milk bread (or soft white bread)
1 cup milk
½ cup grated jaggery
½ tsp cinnamon powder
Method:
1. Peel the bananas and thinly slice them.
2. Layer sliced bananas between bread slices: Place one bread slice on a plate, top with bananas, add another bread slice, layer more bananas, and top with a final bread slice.
3. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the butter or ghee.
4. Toast the banana-layered bread on both sides until golden and crisp, about 2-3 minutes per side.
5. Pour milk over the toasted bread in the pan and let it absorb for 1-2 minutes, flipping once for even soaking.
6. In a separate pan, heat the grated jaggery with cinnamon powder over low-medium heat. Stir until the jaggery melts and starts to boil gently (about 2 minutes) to form a glaze.
7. Add the soaked bread to the jaggery mixture and toss or coat quickly for 30-60 seconds until glazed.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
