June 2013 marks the 5 year anniversary of the first Newtown Rocksteady Recording session. Held in the lounge of Number 10 Wilson St Newtown.
The song Police Alert from this session was later included on the first Sounds Like Newtown Compilation of 2009.
Newtown Rocksteady continues to grow and to play great music, many thanks to all of the players and fans over the years!!

The Name Police Alert comes from the excitement of the sirens of Newtown, always present in the daily life of Newtown..
