Описание: The Bhojpur Shivling, also known as the Shivling of the Bhojeshwar Mahadev Temple, is located in Bhojpur village near Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, India. Built in the 11th century during the reign of King Bhoja of the Paramara dynasty, this magnificent structure is considered one of the largest Shivlings in India. The Shivling stands approximately 7.5 feet (about 2.3 meters) high and has a diameter of around 17–18 feet (about 5.5 meters), carved from a single massive stone. It is placed on a large square yoni peeth (platform), adding to its grandeur. The temple itself remains incomplete, which gives it a unique historical and architectural significance. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Bhojpur Shivling is a major pilgrimage site and attracts thousands of devotees, especially during Mahashivratri.
