Starting in the pretty village of Frigiliana, this 9 km walk starts by walking up through the narrow streets of the village about 20km north of the popular resort of Nerja above the water storage and into the rough terrain climbing steeply up the summit. The views are stunning and walking this is March, the weather was just right for the walk
I took this walk out of the book 'Spanish Trails Book 2' by Phil Lawler. The book is titled 'The Sierra Almijara and Tejeda'. Hill walks near Competa.
If you are used to walking in the Yorkshire Dales, this walk was strenuous. Take water and something to eat . Enjoy a new experience
