Happy Friendship Day to all our viewers and subscribers!

We have been to Niagara Falls more than once. But due to winters or Fall season during our earlier visits, never took a cruise in Niagara Falls to reach out to bottom of the Falls from close quarters (and, in the process, get completely drenched in freezing waters of Niagara river).

This time we happened to visit Niagara Falls during summer and had a fabulous time going for the famous, Maid-of-the-mist experience, with stunning fireworks as a bonus!

Before reaching the Falls, we spent some time going around Niagara downtown, the famous din and bustle of this place. We reached Niagara Falls around sunset time. So we had another very good view of the Falls during daytime, besides of course the stunning, amazing view of sunset!

We had booked our cruise tickets online in advance, so we quickly reached the boarding gate at the appointed time of the cruise in Niagara river. It was a big double decker boat for accommodating more than 200 visitors. We all were provided with rain coats (or rain jackets or rain poncho) to save us from getting completely drenched while at the bottom of the Falls.

This cruise is known as Hornblowers Niagara Cruise on the Canadian side and Maid-of-the-mist cruise on the American side. Even the colour of rain coat is red on Canadian side and blue on American side.

The experience in the cruise defies description. It is something which can only be experienced in person. No amount of descriptive adjectives can do full justice to what you see and how you feel when almost right under one of the biggest, but certainly the best known, water falls globally!

And to cap an extraordinary experience in the Maid-of-the-mist, we also witnessed an awesome display of fireworks while still in Niagara river!

We came back home past midnight after dinner, completely exhausted, but completely satiated too!
