About Dr. Paige Rawson:
Dr. Paige Rawson (M.A., M.Div., Ph.D.) is an interdisciplinary scholar-practioner working in the Religion and Philosophy Department at Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina. She spent eight years in the ministry before transitioning into academia in order to study and teach the Bible and religion through feminist, queer, and postcolonial theories as well as Africana and Afro-Caribbean philosophies. Her research is animated by her fierce commitment to social justice and antiracist epistemological activism. Dr. Rawson's work eschews traditional Western European individualism and its methodologies, emphasizing instead the communal and embodied nature of being, knowing, thinking, writing, reading, and interpreting texts.
