Obtaining a construction loan can be difficult, especially for beginner builders and ESPECIALLY for owner builders. I called many banks prior to building these two houses and most of them rejected me because I had no experience in building and secondly because most banks do not allow owners to build their own houses. I got creative and used my own personal resources to get the job done. Now that I have a portfolio of completed home builds to show to the bank, I will have a much better chance of obtaining construction loans in the future. In this video I explain exactly how I chose to finance my first two home builds without getting a construction loan or any other loan type.
