Here's the full commemoration of Nancy Faust Night (and Music Night) as presented on this edition of the pregame On-Deck Show on WSNS Channel 44, and continuing on into the very beginning of the ballgame broadcast for that evening. Harry Caray is the main announcer.
[NOTE: This has been edited together from two different sources (well, 3 technically but the last one is kind of a cheat) - a black and white recording was made, which comprises the bulk of the footage presented here - then, a separate color recording on a different tape and machine was also made but only captured the meat of the presentation. So, to present the most footage of this broadcast possible, all black and white footage has been retained here, with the color recording portion substituted in over the repeated footage that was also recorded in black & white. Clear as mud? Well lastly, since the black and white recording continued on to include the Sox open and very start of the game, I decided to substitute in the color footage of the White Sox opening from the "master" version we have, even though it wasn't recorded from this specific broadcast. (I did review and compare both our color master version and the black and white "real" recorded version and they were identical, except of course for one being in color) The original audio from the black and white recording was retained, to provide a more seamless experience, and the original black and white footage comes back in as soon as the shot changes to the first sponsor billboard comes on, since that is not on the master version.]
Includes:
On-Deck Show title card going into sponsor billboard for Howard Pontiac (voiceover by Lloyd Hanson)
Show open, with Harry introducing coming festivities before introducing Sox public-address announcer Bob Finnegan who, in turn, introduces the National Anthem; after which a car in which Nancy is sitting (with a plug for Classic Car Investments, Inc. on each side) emerges from the left field area, headed towards home plate
Commercial: Howard Pontiac - with "Howard's mother" (different actress than seen in later versions of these ads!) (sale on 1979 Bonneville)
Nancy gets out of the car, to be feted by Bob with a set of proclamations including:
From the Office of the Governor of the State of Illinois, James Thompson
From the Office of the Mayor of the City of Chicago, Jane Byrne
As Bob reads the proclamations, a La-Z-Boy recliner is brought onto the field, followed by Howard Kaplan, Vice President of Henry Kay Jewelers (who mentions her involvement with the Bulls basketball team as well as the Sox and gives her a 14-karat yellow gold Movado wristwatch and a jewelry chest)
Commercial: Howard Pontiac (sale on 1979 Sunbird)
The head of the local Coca-Cola Bottling Co., David (?), gives her a painting in recognition, followed by Home & Automobile Insurance Co. president John Seward who (with the Sox' Michael Beck) bestows on her a vacation to St. Charles; Don Schultz of Feebes Sandwich Restaurants and his assistant giving her one of their big sandwiches; Jimmy Gallios of Miller's Pub; after which Bob reads off more gifts to come her way, whereby Harry is joined at booth by Jimmy Piersall as teams' lineups are shown
Commercial: Henry Kay Jewelers - sale on Movado watches
Nancy gives her thanks, followed by a song and dance from the American Indian Center (1630 Wilson Avenue), during which Jimmy examines today's pitching lineup

WSNS Legal ID bumper with Sox graphic (voiceover by Don Ferris)
