TLC's Sister Wives has returned for it's 18th season and the hypocrisy, inconsistencies, and out right lights are being exposed.
As part of Kody & Robyn's image rehabilitation campaign, they are now asking for the audience's pity. I don't have any. Kody attests that he and Robyn have successfully hid their relationship from the eyes of people who watch the show. I take that as a direct insult. Regardless if he blames the editors, youtubers, or the man on the moon, their relationship has always been presented as his true and favored marriage.
Right on the heels of Kody's shenanigans, Robyn is describing herself as a victim while claiming not to be a victim. In the short term this is an attempt to garner sympathy from the audience so that we start liking her. In the long term she is setting up her divorce allegations against Kody, right before she takes him to the cleaners.
