🧺 Ingredients
For Prawns
Prawns – 500 g
Salt – ½ tsp
Black pepper – ½ tsp
For Batter
All-purpose flour (Maida) – 1 cup
Corn flour – 2 tbsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Black pepper – 1 tsp
Garlic powder – 1 tsp
Soda water – 1 cup or as required
For Frying
Oil – as required
French beans – as required
Onion rings – as required
Corn flour – for coating
👩🍳 Directions
Step 1: Prepare Prawns
Clean and devein the prawns properly.
Add salt and black pepper.
Mix well and set aside.
Step 2: Prepare Batter
In a bowl, add all-purpose flour, corn flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Gradually add soda water and whisk until smooth.
Batter should be medium thick and lump-free.
Set aside.
Step 3: Fry Vegetables
Heat oil on medium flame.
Lightly coat French beans with corn flour, dip in batter, and fry until golden.
Repeat the same process for onion rings.
Remove and place on paper towel.
Step 4: Fry Prawns
Coat prawns lightly with corn flour.
Dip into prepared batter.
Fry in hot oil until golden, crispy, and cooked through.
Fry in batches, do not overcrowd the pan.
Step 5: Serve
Serve hot with ketchup, chili sauce, or garlic mayo.
