Free vst amp simulators are getting better, I love ignite and LePou Amps it is well suited for creating metal tone for free! You don't have to buy line 6 or Bias Amp to get fat tone
For this song I use an 8 string guitar and a six string guitar, I get a Quad track, But ignite amps can work also well if you mixing 2 guitars left and right
I used catharsis impulse responce, (s-preshigh) works great! I often use it to create aggressive guitar tones
It is not necessary to use exactly the same plug-ins. I don't always use them. If it sounds good, it's good.
