The most common reason that people fall when they get old is because they lose control of the front of their body. This can cause them to fall backwards. To fix this, your body needs to learn how to control motion once it’s been initiated. That is, control your body as it bends backwards to prevent you from falling over. If you lose that ability as you age, your risk of falling can increase.
In this video, you'll learn 3 exercises that can help load and train the front of your body to reduce your risk of falls as much as possible. They also involve mobilizing your ankles and thoracic spine, both of which are critical in ensuring that your body is working properly. Restoring function to this part of the body can reduce fall risk, improve stability and even reduce pain.
