Merseyside Police Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims has provided an update on the tragic incident which occurred in Liverpool where a car ploughed through several pedestrians.
The 53-year-old British male driver has been arrested after the car collided with a crowd of supporters in Liverpool during the Premier League title celebrations.
This is being treated as an isolated incident, not as terrorism.
“It is vital that people do not speculate or spread misinformation on social media,” Ms Sims said.
