Route 66 Episode 15: The Silver Mining Boomtown of Calico, California

Описание: Our penultimate day on Route 66. We don't let road closures prevent us from having fun on the Mother Road. The journey from Needles to Barstow takes us to places like Amboy, California and the former boomtown turned tourist attraction -- Calico!

*Insider information: We wanted to film a lot more around the Bagdad Cafe in Newberry Springs, including going into more detail about the connection to the movie but the fellow hanging around the entrance gave us a bad vibe and so we moved along quicker than expected so that part of the video seems rather incomplete but I left it in because it is such a big stop for fans of Route 66 and/or the movie.
