I made the first real cuts on my Oxman CNC - engraving spoilboard locating lines, drilling pilot holes and preparing for surfacing.
But something wasn't right... sharp bits created smoke.
In this episode I fix several issues before the machine is reliable and can be used:
Removing clumpy connectors and tidying the cabling
Solving a bolt interference
Dealing with an oversized dust shoe reducing working area
Diagnosing a reversed spindle rotation
Drilling and countersinking the spoilboard
Finally surfacing the spoilboard
Even a brand-new machine needs careful checking before it's ready for serious work. Now that the Oxman CNC is running correctly, I can finally move on to building real parts for the Setka,
