Building Eduard Slat Armor and Blast Armor on a Trumpeter M1127 RV (Reconnaissance Vehicle) Stryker continues in Part 2 of this 1/35 scale Stryker model build. In this video, I focus on Eduard photo-etched slat armor, blast armor installation, and detailed modifications to accurately represent a U.S. Army M1127 Recon Stryker. This is a highly detailed military scale modeling project, featuring precision work, problem solving, and real-world inspired armor layouts used on deployed Stryker vehicles.
This Trumpeter M1127 Stryker build is not an out-of-the-box project. The Eduard slat armor and blast armor require careful fitting, alignment, and customization to achieve a realistic combat-ready look. I break down the challenges, techniques, and adjustments needed when working with photo-etched armor in 1/35 scale, making this video useful for beginner and experienced scale modelers alike. If you’re into US Army vehicle modeling, Stryker builds, modern armor modeling, or military dioramas, this project is for you.
As a former US Army Infantry 11 Charlie, realism and attention to detail matter in every step of this build. This series is all about storytelling through scale modeling, from armor configuration to battlefield wear and tear.
