Only five people have seen the impossibly teal ‘olo’ color. Researchers tricked their eyes into seeing this new color with an elaborate experiment that involved lasering participants' retinas to select only for the cone responsible for green. They hope their research could help those with colorblindness temporarily see more of our colorful world.
