Dacre Rally: The Longest Day

Описание: One heck of a day!! A lot of notes for next year. I was about 47km from finishing the full 750km course but had a few mechanical issues with the bike. The main point being that the battery wasn't charging enough ( even with a 200w stator) to keep the headlight on at low rpm. So stalling in the technical rocky sections meant push starting the bike, which is hard when your stuck going up hill. I wasn't sure if there were other riders close behind if i needed a hand or some light. (forgot to bring a flashlight.) Also phone charger on the bike stopped working, so that meant phone was dead so no SOS or emergency calls. The Canadian forest is very dark at night, there was absolutely no light making it down through the trees. Its very peacefully and quiet, but the timing wasn't best when trying to finish up 20hrs on the bike. It truly was my longest day on a bike, lived up to its reputation. Only 11 months till the next try.
