Rare Mileage Northstar Move on BNSF's Brookfield Sub!

On Saturday, March 14th, 2026, train J-NTWIRB ran westbound on the Brookfield Sub in northern-central Missouri. The train consisted of a BNSF GEVO pulling a full Northstar trainset from Minnesota, bound for Texas. This type of train wouldn't normally run this route, hence the rare mileage.
The Brookfield Subdivision does not see much traffic regularly, and the Marceline Sub to the north sees the vast majority of BNSF traffic in the region. Having never shot any trains on this line in the past, this was a perfect opportunity to catch one and chase it, as well.
Five locations are featured, including the arrival and departure from the crew change point in Brookfield, MO, the sub's namesake.
