Days 1 & 2 Backpacking in the Sawtooths. Yellowbelly to Toxaway Lake and an Unnamed Lake

Описание: Day 1 & 2 of a 71 mile thruhike with @wildernessally and her two teen daughters in the Sawtooth wilderness that includes some off trail route finding to connect popular trails and areas together. This was a figure 8 style hike with Redfish Lake at the middle.

At the start of our trip, we dropped one car at the Redfish Trail Hiker parking lot, loaded up and drove to the Yellowbelly trailhead. Spent night one at Toxaway lake, jumped off trail for night 2, met up with the Ardith Lake Trail and hiked to Hidden lake for night 3 via the Mount Cramer trail. From there we hiked to the Redfish ferry for a ride to resupply and back out again from Redfish on the Alpine way trail. We then jumped off trail again at Mt Thompson and connected back up with the trail at Goat lake, continued to Sawtooth lake for night 6.
On day 7, we started at Sawtooth Lake, hiked past the Baron Creek falls on the Redfish Creek, Baron Creek trail and ended the day at Baron Lake.
Day 8 we continued on the Redfish Creek-Baron Lake Trail from Baron Lake , past Upper Baron Lake, Alpine Lake, along Redfish Lake Creek and back to the Redfish Inlet Campground.
We hopped on the Redfish ferry back to the Redfish Trail Hiker parking lot then drove my car from the Redfish Lodge back to the Yellowbelly Trailhead to pick the other car up, We got a delicious dinner at Sawtooth Luce's in Stanley. Highly recommend for any post hike meal if you are in the Stanley area.
