In Lecture 4 of the AI for Software Engineers dives into the two categories of Python data types — Primitive and Collection — and introduces the most important collection type in all of AI/ML: the List.
By the end of this class, you'll know how to store any kind of data in Python, perform calculations, compare values, and precisely pick any element or range from a list using indexing and slicing.
Format: list[start : end : step]
Key rule: +step → moves left to right | -step → moves right to left
End index is always excluded — add 1 when going left→right
Leave start or end blank to go from the beginning or to the end
