Cooking in a dishwasher is something i'd heard of before, particular as a cool way to steam fish, but I wanted to show you a version of a recipe involving chicken using a jar! Using foil is not as sustainable or good for the dishwasher so I opted for the sealed jar approach. Here I rubbed chicken in cumin, paprika & coriander and put it in the jar with vegetables and rice noodles. The most important thing is to ensure the chicken is cooked through, trust me steamed chicken is delicious! So normally a chicken breast would steam in 30 minutes, but I gave it just under an hour in the dishwasher at 75 degrees, the small slices also helped it cook through. If you do attempt this and your dishwasher goes to a lower temperature you would need to cook it longer. Overall this dishwasher recipe was great, the juices stayed in the jar merging with the spices and honey to create a mini marinade and flavour the other ingredients, yum!
