In “Rang: The Musical”, Rehmat-e-Nusrat and Eric Chopra from Itihãsology take you back to the Delhi of the 13th and 14th centuries, where Amir Khusrau Dehlavi’s poetry found its soul in the love and guidance of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya.

As Eric brings alive the stories and moments that inspired Khusrau’s voice, Rehmat-e-Nusrat fills the space with soaring qawwali renditions that are multilingual, spiritual and full of emotion.

This is more than a performance. It’s a beautiful conversation between the sacred and the sonic, between Delhi’s past and its timeless spirit.

Part of Baarish: Downpour Diaries, Chapter 2 – Magical Musicals and Coastal Cuisine, the evening celebrated the monsoon in full bloom at Travancore Palace, New Delhi, with music, stories and sensory experiences that touched every sense.
