This is a demonstration that Fred Mastro uses at seminars. Anyone that can keep him from hitting their neck gets in the seminar free. I am not suggesting that we could beat Mastro. I am suggesting that one is much faster trying to lead than trying to parry. This is an exercise that we use at the beginning of class to help students to learn to respond to unconscious signals from their peripheral vision. At least that is what I think is happening.
