This delightful little country church, in what was once a small rural village, now a northern suburb of Ashford, is home to an equally satisfying and characteristic 10 cwt six. They're a real mixed bag of various Whitechapel founders, but the oldest bell, the fifth, dated circa 1550 was cast by William Oldfield of Canterbury. It's listed for preservation, along with the third and tenor, which were cast by Robert Mot in 1602. The tenor has a slight 'donk' to it, much like the tenor at Margaretting.
