Welcome to episode 39 of Gamekeeper's Cottage Diaries.
In this #vlog, join us for a May plot tour and garden update! This month’s video combines a walkthrough of how the garden is looking in late spring with a short update on the jobs I managed to squeeze in during a quick weekend visit.
Here’s what I got done:
🌹 Deadheaded the Olivia Rose Austin roses
🌿 Planted nine creeping phlox plugs between the paving slabs
🌸 Re-trained some of the dog roses in the new native hedge
🍑 Weeded around the raspberry canes, and the apricot and nectarine trees
🌱 Mowed the lawn to neaten everything up
The garden is bursting into life and changing fast—each visit brings something new!
