First int'l cruise of Horse Year docks in Shanghai with over 95% foreign tourists

Описание: Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal welcomed the first international port-of-call cruise ship of the Year of the Horse on Wednesday. The MS Westerdam arrived from Busan, carrying approximately 1,900 passengers—over 95% of whom were foreign nationals from more than 40 countries.

Thanks to China's recent visa-free policies—including unilateral exemptions for Canada and the UK, and the 240-hour transit rule—nearly 90% of passengers benefited from streamlined entry procedures.

Upon arrival, visitors enjoyed a showcase of Shanghai-featured intangible cultural heritage before heading to popular attractions such as Yuyuan Garden and the Bund. The ship departed for Hong Kong on Thursday.
