How to Play Gibraltar - Git Gud #10 - Apex Legends Gameplay Analysis

Описание: Welcome to Git Gud, an educational series where I analyze my gameplay to see what I did right, what I did wrong, and how I could’ve played better. I’ll try to go through every aspect that I can, covering mechanics, positioning, and game sense. In this episode, we’ll be looking at some Gibraltar gameplay with an emphasis on how to best utilize his kit. While I’ll still be doing analysis that’s generally applicable, the majority of it will focus on how to get the most value from Gibby’s abilities. If you’re not a Gibraltar main, this video still may be worth watching because learning about his strengths might give you ideas on how to counter play against him.

I’ve been playing Gibraltar more lately because I think he’s a great character for learning how to position properly. He doesn’t have any movement abilities to get him out of trouble, but his kit is still forgiving enough to buy him time to get out of a bad spot, as long as he’s not too overextended. You don’t straight up have a get out of jail free card like Pathfinder or Wraith, but you can still save yourself in situations where other characters can’t, making him a good middle ground for learning how to rotate without ultra high mobility. A side benefit of this is that you’re less likely to bait your team into positions where you know you can get out, but they can’t.

Often times it’s easy and convenient to blame your teammates when things don’t go well. While you can’t control what other people do, you can control your own actions and there’s usually always something that you could have done better. Since Apex Legends is a fluid and fast paced game where situations are ever changing, it can be hard to think about all these things while you’re playing which is why analyzing your own gameplay afterwards and doing VOD reviews are of the quickest ways you can educate yourself, learn from your mistakes, and get better at the game.
