Moving Out Day : packing our life into boxes 📦✨

Описание: I’ll never forget the day my husband and I found out that the apartment we have been renting for 3 years (27/ 11 / 2021 - 30/ 11 / 2025) was placed on the market to be sold.

A real estate agent from Alexander Swartz Realtors contacted us randomly on 02 May 2025 @ 9:39am to request confirmation for the first viewing taking place. The shock, the horror of emotions we felt when reading the message because our landlord (INQB8 Property Rentals)never informed us that this was taking place.

Even though we were good tenants, we felt so unprepared and unsure of what was about to happen.

Keep in mind that my husband and I never went through something like this, where unknown people would walk through your home and look at every item you worked so hard for judging it as if the items were also for sale.

This was a time in my life that I realized how ugly capetonian people can be and also understand that we have no home anymore. For the first time I had a feeling of being an inch away from homelessness.

The only support my husband and I have is each other. We are not fortunate like a lot of people who have family members to run too. It’s all on us, so if we break our ship will sink and rebuilding would be harder for us.

Anyway, I took this as a lesson to my journey of life I promised myself that one day I’ll be able to afford owning a place of my own.

Other details:

We used a moving company called “Moving Company” and charged us R2700 which is a good price but shitty work. I guess you pay for what you get.
