In this episode, we visit the location where Billy the Kid witnessed the murder of Huston Chapman in 1879.
After a long, cold ride from Las Vegas New Mexico, Huston Chapman arrived in Lincoln, New Mexico. Just hours earlier, Billy the Kid met with Jimmy Dolan, Billy Campbell, and others to talk peace. But just hours after the talks concluded the peace was broken when Campbell shot Chapman at point-blank range and left his body to burn in the darkness. The Kid witnessed the killing and decided to leave town before he could be implicated in yet another crime.
