How to do a perfect Slalom Windsurfing start? Level 1 - Windsurfing Tips Ep. 2

A perfect start in Slalom Windsurfing race is somewhat of a milestone. When you hit the line at full speed on 0 seconds exactly and immediately pull 10 meters in front of everyone in the heat the feeling is wonderful. First time planning, first gybe, first front loop and first perfect start - all of them give you an incredible high. The perfect start not only feels great, but sets you up for a good race ahead. So how do we do it? and most importantly how can we do this consistently?

So in this video I will go over in broad strokes the system I use to get to the start line in time - it is also used by most of PWA guys too. This is Level 1 of it - the basics, it is crucial to have this mastered in ordered to move on further into the finer details of the perfect start. Just by using the steps above you are not going to start hitting every start on 0 seconds immediately, but it should bring you A LOT of consistency in every start.
