یار مرا، غار مرا، عشق جگرخوار مرا
یار تویی، غار تویی، خواجه نگهدار مرا
You are my beloved, my refuge, my heart-devouring love;
You are my companion, my cave, my master and protector.

نوح تویی، روح تویی، فاتح و مفتوح تویی
سینهٔ مشروح تویی، بر در اسرار مرا
You are my Noah, my spirit, both the conqueror and the conquered;
You are the open chest that stands at the gate of my secrets.

نور تویی، سور تویی، دولت منصور تویی
مرغ که طور تویی، خسته به منقار مرا
You are the light, the feast, the victorious grace;
You are the bird of Mount Sinai, carrying my weary soul in your beak.

قطره تویی، بحر تویی، لطف تویی، قهر تویی
قند تویی، زهر تویی، بیش میازار مرا
You are the drop and the sea, mercy and wrath;
You are sugar and poison — yet wound me no more.

حجره خورشید تویی، خانه ناهید تویی
روضه امید تویی، راه ده ای یار مرا
You are the chamber of the sun, the dwelling of Venus;
You are the garden of hope — show me the way, O beloved.

روز تویی، روزه تویی، حاصل دریوزه تویی
آب تویی، کوزه تویی، آب ده این بار مرا
You are the day and the fast, the fruit of all begging;
You are the water and the cup — this time, give me water.

دانه تویی، دام تویی، باده تویی، جام تویی
پخته تویی، خام تویی، خام بمگذار مرا
You are the seed and the snare, the wine and the cup;
You are the ripe and the raw — do not leave me unripe.

این تن اگر کم تندی، راه دلم کم زدی
راه شدی تا نبُدی، این همه گفتار مرا
If this body strikes less fiercely, you strike less at my heart;
You became the Path itself — and all these words fell silent.
