We use scissors everyday without knowing how our handling of them can affect their performance. Dog grooming scissors are designed to be held and used differently, so holding them correctly will ensure that the pet stylist achieves a very high standard of finish to a dog's fur, whilst maintaining the scissor's performance and longevity.
This youtube short demonstrates where the thumb needs to be resting and the where the fingers must be placed.
