We booked a family European trip last minute (the day before).
Thankfully when my wife Lucy discovered I was unknowingly going to book a hotel on a roundabout at the bottom of the local airport..... she found Burgenstock nearby and treated us to a 2 night stay of splendid luxury and relaxation!
An amazing experience worth every Swiss Franc.
The drive up the mountain with it's steep switch backs and deep drops left my poor VW Transporter van gasping at times. Inside there were a few screeches and flowery language to boot, however we lived to tell and film the tale.

Your own villa/suite
We stayed at the Wald Hotel on a half board deal which was actually quite cost effective in the end, compared to similar Hotels. Unlike other places you don't get the service or the amazing Alpine views you get here.
