This video is an off-shoot from my recent European adventure, being the first time I have visited Poland since 1982, yes 1982 and I drove from the UK!
I stayed the night in Boleslawiec to break up the journey from Hannover.
I took pictures of ceramics for the family back home, so they could choose pottery they might like?
In so doing I thought it might be useful to collectors to see what is on offer at the factory shops over there.
The quality is excellent however they are not all as cheap as you expect although that is subjective to where you live I suppose?
Example prices at time of visit (May 2025)
Average cup £5 -15
Bowls £8 - 20
Larger items add an extra £5-10 on
Baking trays or larger platters are very expensive I thought on average £40-100! They are built like the proverbial outside loo but still they are not made from diamond dust!
If you can claim the VAT back ask them for the form, BEFORE they start toting up the bill.
If you are worried about communication don't, I think everyone under 45 speaks perfect English and probably, German, Italian too!
