Описание: A Reseda couple lost $5,980 after falling victim to a $20 “distraction” scam outside an Albertsons grocery store. Investigators say a man and woman watched the victim enter his PIN at checkout, then approached him outside claiming he had dropped a $20 bill. During the brief interaction, his debit card was stolen. Within minutes, thousands of dollars were withdrawn from ATMs and inside a branch of Chase Bank.
