PART 1: Knaresborough to end of Beryl Burton cycleway at Bilton / start of Nidderdale Greenway (old railway line).
The most stunning family-friendly (mainly) off-road bike / cycle ride in North Yorkshire! Along the River Nidd at Knaresborough, then along the Beryl Burton cycleway (part rough surface / unmade road - skirting Harrogate), then along the Nidderdale Greenway (disused railway line) (tarmac surface) to Ripley Castle and beyond into the woods, ending on a dear little lane. Most of this ride is off-road or on no-through-road lanes and it is SIMPLY STUNNING. Filmed on a hot, sunny early June day.
