Unusual interaction of the imperturbable Amur tiger and the fearless crow. The camera trap captured an incredibly close communication of wild animals: at a distance of less than a meter, the bird taunts the predator with its cawing, which the tiger stoically endures.
The video featured a young tiger peacefully resting at the top of a mountain. However, its feline siesta was disrupted by the crow. The predator did not attack the bird, showed no aggression, and simply observed attentively.
Usually, predators and scavengers (crows) interact differently. Scavengers, especially in winter, largely depend on tigers and leopards – their successful hunts provide food for such birds. In turn, crows, which can easily spot animal remains from the air, can indicate the location of prey or deceased animals with their cawing. In such cases, when tigers and crows meet, the latter keep their distance, perching on tree branches.
