People think we're crazy to bring a baby to Brazil (DANGEROUS?)

Описание: This is our first international trip with our baby. We were quite nervous traveling with a 5 month old. We've been to Brazil before, and we love being tourists in the country, but would our experience be different with our newborn? Let's find out!

For starters, we were a bit tentative about how to handle an infant in the hot weather. To be fair, we've had pretty great temps so far... not too many days over 30C. Although, in this video, the temperature reached 32C. Luckily, baby Jean handled the heat like a champ! (Maybe this is because her mother is Indonesian and used to the heat!)

We ended up walking for 2+ hours in the heat, along a great pedestrian walkway on Paulista Avenue. We really love this place, although there can be safety concerns. For example, our uber drive told us to watch out for snatching theives. Having our daughter with us made us even more nervous but, again, only good things to report. We had a great time, felt safe, and saw lots of interesting people and performers. Another great day in Brazil!

As a side story to this vlog: we finally found the tiny sandals we've been looking for! Havaianas sells tiny flip flops for babies... and even has a strap on the back to make sure they won't fall off. Just perfect. To be clear, our daughter cannot walk yet, and these are more of a souvenir than anything, but the perfect souvenir they are! Havaianas, to us, is a good icon to represent traveling in Brazil, and one that we can keep forever.
