She gets emotional about the low days of not having work, being signed on for Mohanlal’s Chakram only to be removed from the film a few days later. “They started calling me a jinx,” she says, adding that there was a “Tamil filmmaker who got her kundali checked and called her abshagun.” She reminisces days when a producer mistreated her and shamed her for her looks, putting her on a self doubt mode. “I didn’t look at myself in the mirror for 6 months; I felt ugly,” she tells Nayandeep almost tearing up. But she also looks back at her achievements. From Vidhu Vinod Chopra wanting a bigger star in her place for Parineeta to creating her own mark in cinema and being compared to the Khans, receiving box office as well as critical acclaim and awards, Vidya Balan created a legacy that’s almost unbeatable. But she constantly faced body shaming from people around her including the media. For the first time ever, Vidya Balan reveals that she was diagnosed with allergy towards certain food items like Palak and Dudhi - which she was completely unaware of, and caused inflammation in her body. “I did this thing called Elimination of Inflammation and I lost weight since early 2024,” Balan reveals as she looks exactly the way she did 17 years ago in Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
